The leaves are turning amber, we've pulled the thick jumpers out from the back of the wardrobe and it will soon be the famous pumpkin "everything" season. I'm here to tell you how to indulge yourself in an aromatic chai latte at home, made with no other than Arthur Dove Tea Co's Pumpkin Spice blend. It's a great alternative to the coffee blend you may all know as the 'PSL'. So don your best cosy socks, light your autumn candle and whip up this yummy 'hug in a mug'' in minutes.
Ingredients for Pumpkin Spice Tea Latte (1 serving):
4tsp (heaped) Arthur Dove Tea Co's Pumpkin Spice
60ml Water
1tsp Honey
150ml Milk (your choice)
Whipped/Squirty Cream
Cinnamon (to sprinkle)
Method:
Boil the hot water and pour it over the Pumpkin Spice Tea in an infuser (make sure there are no more than 50/60ml of water - about a 1/4 of a mug - or it'll be too diluted). Leave to steep for at least 10 minutes until it turns a deep golden colour.
Remove tea infuser and stir in the honey until fully dissolved (you can skip this step if you're sweet enough 😉).
Heat the milk in a pan until it's just simmering. Slowly pour the warmed milk into the hot steeped tea. Whisk for a little froth. (Feel free to sing 'This Is Halloween' for one round while doing this if you desire).
Pour the tea into your favourite mug.
Add a generous dollop or squirt of whipped cream (optional) and sprinkle with cinnamon.
If you're feeling extra: Get a tablespoon of pumpkin puree and mix it with a dash of allspice and vanilla extract. Then whisk the puree with the steeped tea in the pan before adding the milk.
Enjoy your cup of pumpkin goodness. 🎃☕ #ArthurDoveTeaCoPSL
